My stay at the Mercure Alameda Quito was wonderful overall. The staff was incredibly professional and attentive, helping with my needs throughout my visit. While the room was modern and clean, it was quite small and I could hear some street noise at night. The breakfast was excellent, especially with the early hours catering to early flights and activities. 😊

During my stay at Mercure Alameda Quito, I found the hotel to be conveniently located with spacious rooms and a great breakfast buffet. However, a minor inconvenience was the distance from the airport, which took about two hours in traffic. Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives, especially with the helpful staff and modern amenities.

Rooms
9.0
My room was spacious and clean, featuring a large bathroom with tea and coffee-making facilities, which was rare in other hotels I've visited. I found the bed very comfortable, although not every room was equipped with air conditioning. Some bathrooms lacked sufficient lighting, which could be improved.

5.6/10

I had a great stay at Mercure Alameda Quito. The hotel is clean and modern, and the staff were super helpful. Although the location was a bit different than I expected, it was convenient for walking to nearby restaurants and craft markets. The dining options had a good variety, but my experience at the in-house restaurant wasn't the best. Overall, it was a solid place to stay before my Galapagos trip.

Rooms
9.0
My room was spacious and quite comfortable, with a separate sitting area and large bathroom. I really appreciated having tea and coffee facilities, which are hard to find in South America. The bed was comfy, which was a nice surprise.
Service
10.0
The staff were incredibly accommodating, especially when I needed help with medication during my stay. They arranged for a doctor to visit and quickly got my prescriptions sorted out, which I really appreciated.
Location
7.0
The hotel is in a bustling area of Quito, which was fine for my short stay. Although it wasn't as close to the historic old town as I thought, there were plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, plus the craft market nearby.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was good with lots of options, but I had a disappointing dining experience at the restaurant one evening. The food was overly salty, and the service was a bit slow.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities were decent with room service and laundry options available. I also liked that the hotel offered a rooftop spa area for relaxation.
